About Elli Edgar - Painted Ladies Founder

Elli Edgar, Founder and Director of Painted Ladies, comes from a traditional tattoo background since 1991. She apprenticed with the award winning tattoo artist Dale Orman in Phoenix, Arizona for over a year to gain her credibility. Because of her love for aesthetics she continued on in the permanent makeup side of tattooing. Many of her tricks of the trade come from working years ago in Hollywood in the fields of costuming and makeup. Working with various plastic surgeons in the valley, she has helped many cancer and accident survivors to feel normal and whole again. Camouflage and areolas are her specialty. From eyebrows to toe rings, and everything in between she can provide a wide variety of services. "I use the manual hand infusion method on the face and the machine from the neck down. Most technicians over work the skin and the outcome is too harsh of a look. I like to layer pigment over two or three applications. This gives your client a chance to see how the pigment holds in their skin. End results: very happy clients!"

Elli has been a prominent speaker at many of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professional (SPCP) conventions. It is an organization that upholds the ethics of the permanent makeup profession where she was a member in the past for ten years.

Elli is also the co-founder of the PMS of Arizona (Permanent Makeup Society). She has been president for for over 10 years. She began this group to help others who are starting out or needed advice and to better the profession in the state of Arizona. Working together to better the permanent makeup profession, upholding ethics and raising standards are some of the goals of the Society. EMPOWERMENT IN UNITY is their motto.

Charitable efforts go to Women Living Free - women finding their way after they leave prison. We help build back their self-esteem by giving them a better image. This year's charitable effort will concentrate on the Keep A Breast foundation. The Keep A Breast Foundation™ is a non-profit organization. Our mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs and fundraising efforts, we seek to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.
